So by now you probably know that I lost most of my fish...well they keep dying at any rate. I had only 1 of my goldfish left, a Calico Fantail and 3 of the 10 White Cloud Mountain Minnows. Well I decided I would buy some more yet again. I don't know why when all they do is die.

I went to Wal-Mart with the intention of buying at least 2 Fantails, but then it suddenly hit me, why buy more Fantail when they cost me $3.00 each and they have really nice big Comets for only 28 cents each. The thing is I had 2 Comets before and they died too, plus it is not advisable to keep single tail and fantails together or so they say anyway, which is why it never occurred to me to continue with the Comets.

On December 24th  I bought 3 beautiful Comets...and then on Saturday I bought 3 more. Took me over 1/2 hour to get them simply because Wal-Mart couldn't find anyone to help me because it was such a zoo in there.

So far they are doing well and my favourite is a Calico looking Comet, similar looking to the Fantail I have. They are a very lively bunch and just fun to watch. I thought they would have tried to eat my White Mountain Minnows but they are leaving them alone. I did notice though that for the first 2 days the Calico Comet that I like kept chasing the Calico Fantail around...I am not sure if he was trying to eat her (not sure what sex they are of course) or if he had a crush on her but gave up

Then yesterday I bought a new AquaClear Filter System since the one I had before stopped working on Sunday. Not sure why but it happened after I turned off the power to clean the tank. When I turned it back on it wouldn't work. I spend most of Sunday trying to get it to work but it wouldn't. So yesterday I went to buy a new filter. If there was a Big Al's near me, I would have bought it there because they are way cheaper than PJs Pet Store. PJs sells it for $59.99 + tax and Big Al's has it for $47.99 + tax.

Now you would think it's a simple thing to buy a filter, take it home and set it up. Oh no...I got home and the darn filter was busted. I had to trek back to PJ's to get it exchange...now they are not far from me but I could have done without all this extra work, especially since I was tired and had a headache. Anyway, the new filter has been set up and seems to be working properly. Most of all the fishes seems to be doing ok.

So that's it from me for now. You probably won't be hearing from me until next year.

So there is this controversy as to whether we should say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays. Well let me tell you that as of this year I refuse to say Happy Holidays.

I use to bend over backwards to do it until someone  made an issue of it. So since I am being told that I am suppose to say Happy Holidays because we live in a multi-cultural society...I won't. That would be giving into their belief system and ignoring mine and why should I?

The fact is I have no problems with other people celebrating whatever they chose to celebrate. I will either celebrate with them or if it is something that I do not believe in, then I leave them alone to it but I don't tell them what to do or not to do.

I do not see why I should change my belief system for a bunch of people who claimed that they don't believe in Christmas and I shouldn't say it. Ok so if you don't want me saying it to you I won't.  I have no problems with that and respect your wishes, but don't expect me to say Happy Holidays because I don't tell you to say Happy Holidays when you have your celebrations.

I will go so far as to learn the appropriate words of your celebration and say them to the individual. I will even learn it in their language. I have never heard anyone who celebrate Christmas telling some one who don't that they can't celebrate their own traditions or belief system. It's time you respect the fact that I have a right to my beliefs.

So I am not buying any more Happy Holiday Cards...it's all Christmas cards from now on. I am taking a stand...I celebrate Christmas and whosoever doesn't like it tough. I amt asking you to give up your celebration nor do I tell them to refer it to Happy Holidays...so why should?
