8月4日 Niagara Falls After a busy
day at Caribana on Saturday, I went to Niagara falls yesterday. I had forgotten
just how beautiful and alive the place it. So very much to see and do and the
best part was I didn't have to do any driving. A friend had mentioned to me that I could take a Safeway Tour bus to Niagara Falls and that now would be a good time since they were having a special on fares. So we both decided to go. I purchased Niagara Falls & Great George Adventure Pass online. I have been to Niagara Falls several times but only walked around and went to Marine Land. This time I wanted to see more. The Adventure Pass comprises of 4 tours:
We left approx 10:00 am and arrived shortly after 11:00 am. I signed up for my card and then headed over to Maid of the Mist for our first tour which is a boat ride on the lake to view the falls. I must say this is an awesome experience but be prepared to get a bit wet...not much though since they provided us with raincoats. Between getting on the boat and doing the tour it took about 1 hour. After the boat tour we went to get lunch and did some sightseeing around the area. You can see some of the town from the pix I posted, such as the Frankenstein Haunted House. We then made reservations for the Journey Behind the Falls which is located at Table Rock. If you ever decide to go behind the falls make sure you make reservations because it takes a while to get in and out. I like the Journey Behind the Falls where you actually have to go into the tunnel to see the falls. Again you have to wear a rain coat but still get a bit wet. By the time we got out from Table Rock it was time to head back to Fallsview Casino Resort to await our bus so we didn't get to see the Butterfly Conservatory or do the bus tour. Lucky for us the tickets do not expire until October so we will be going back before they do. While waiting on the bus I decided to try my luck in the casino, where I promptly lost $10.00. Sorry folks but I work too hard to just throw away my money so I wasn't playing any more:) I even forgot my Players Card in the slot machine and had to get another before we left. At 4:30 pm we rolled out of there. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend you there if you haven't. Also if you do decide to go, I suggest you buy the Adventure pass but make sure you have time to see all the sights or can return at a later date to do so. It's located South West of Toronto along Lake Erie. There is not a lot to see but it is a nice little town to relax and hobby fishing. If you don't like crowd you may want to avoid going there on any weekend falls on Friday13th since a group of more than 1000 bikers hangs out there.

Some are not so great since I took them while we were driving or it was raining, as well as my poor photographic skills:)
